Emabhansini

Emabhansini (isiZulu for “by the pots”) is a luxury heritage bakery in Johannesburg. The rebrand centres the owner herself as the mark — celebrating authenticity, care, and African excellence — with a warm, refined colour system and serif wordmark. We then built a consistent social presence and content toolkit.

Move from generic bakery cues to a brand that reflects heritage, pride, and premium craft — and make it easy to express on social.

Approach

  • Logo redesign led by the founder’s silhouette; elegant serif wordmark; subtle spark accents
  • Palette expressing warmth (Santa Fe), depth (Rebel), softness (Merino), with Cardinal as a sparing highlight.
  • Social system: post/story templates, caption voice, scheduling rhythm, and photography direction

Final Result

A recognisable, story-rich identity with a ready-to-use social toolkit, aligning the brand’s visuals and voice across channels.
